Deschler Handywork

My name is Austin Deschler, and I've always been fascinated by how things work. As a kid I was the one taking toys apart just to figure out how they worked—and by the age of twelve I could usually put them back together.

Beginning at eight years old, I spent many summers working alongside my grandfather in his workshop, building furniture and helping repair appliances for friends and neighbors. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong passion for woodworking, problem solving, and helping your neighbors.

In high school I joined woodshop, where I became close friends with my instructor and helped remodel the shop's dust collection system. The following semester I became his teaching assistant, helping classmates while gaining the opportunity to build projects using professional-grade materials and equipment.

The values my parents, grandfather, and mentors taught me—hard work, responsibility, craftsmanship, and integrity— continue to guide every project I take on. Whether it's an odd job or a custom carpentry project, I believe in doing the job right the first time and treating every customer's home with the same care and respect I would my own.
